DEAD KENNEDYS X UNDER R

Japanese retailer UNDER R has partnered with seminal 1970s San Francisco hardcore punk band Dead Kennedys for a collaborative apparel capsule.

Fusing music, subcultural art and modern streetwear, the collection curates iconic visual assets from the band’s extensive archive. The lineup translates archival album covers, rare concert flyer art and collaged ZINE graphics across a range of streetwear staples, spanning T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, jackets, caps and socks. Each item carries a custom collar tag combining the Dead Kennedys’ iconic logo with UNDER R’s Old English branding, underscoring the authenticity of the collaboration.

JORDY KERWICK – THIS TIME TOMORROW

Taking its title from The Kinks’ 1970 song, the exhibition begins with a question: “This time tomorrow, where will we be?” The refrain captures a feeling of uncertainty about a future that seems near at hand yet remains indistinct. Across a group of recent oil and acrylic paintings, Kerwick turns the day-to-day into a site of meditation, where familiar motifs and fleeting impressions are transformed into vivid fables of the future.

These works begin with small details: vivid greens, floral bursts of magenta, vermilion, and mauve, the presence of water, and the passing impressions of lived surroundings. In Kerwick’s paintings, such familiar elements do not remain fixed. They accumulate, shift, and recombine, unfolding into tableaux where the everyday opens onto the mythical and the imagined.

GUY YANAI

Yanai’s painting stems from a process of selecting and translating images, isolated from their original contexts and reconstructed through a rigorous formal grammar of sharp lines, compressed depth and saturated colors. In this process, the ceaseless flow of images that characterizes contemporary experience slows into contemplation. Everyday life thus becomes a space of focus and permanence, where the familiar takes on an unexpected andpoetic quality.

In his paintings, domestic interiors, Mediterranean landscapes, film stills, everyday objects and urban views emerge as suspended images, stripped down to their essence yet charged with memory. Through a pictorial approach that prioritizes synthesis and formal clarity, the artist transforms ordinary subjects into near-iconic presences, capable of evoking a sense of quietude and introspection. Rather than depicting specific places, his works convey an experience of space shaped by recollection, observation, and imagination.

LISA MCCORD – ROTAN SWITCH

Through a collection of photographs taken between 1978 and 2021, Lisa McCord documents five generations of a community intertwined with the land. Her lens captures the daily rhythms of the Delta, from the labor-intensive demands of agriculture to the intimate domesticity of rural life. However, the exhibition goes beyond mere documentation. McCord engages in a self-reflective critique of her own position as a white photographer and the granddaughter of a landowner. She acknowledges that her ability to document these spaces is a manifestation of privilege, and her images intentionally grapple with the enduring socioeconomic inequities and the complex history of racism inherent in the rural South.
