Specializing in products celebrating art and art history, Today Is Art Day celebrates the life and art of Dut ch artist Vincent Van Gogh with the upcoming Van Gogh’s Dream vinyl art toy designed by Brazilian designer Gabriel Soares. Drawn from Van Gogh’s Bedroom in Arles painting series, the art toy set features the then struggling artist sitting on his bed dreaming of becoming an established artist—which we would achieve after his death.

Soares’ stylized take on Van Gogh with a thin profile, angular face, and slightly sad expression encourages empathy for the artist struggling day by day to gain recognition. An invitation into his house/studio in France, the three-piece set includes Van Gogh, his bed, and a pair of well-worn shoes.

This colorful edition of his signature one-eyed ice cream character features a bright sunset scoop of a head dripping from yellow to orange to pink. Light aqua accents in the eye and boots complement the warm hues. The design finishes with tans for the cone body and limbs.

This third edition of Mister Melty follows the previously released Pink and Black colorways.

BLACK RAINBOW SPARKLES ASTRONAUT TRIO BY ITOKIN PARK

After some brief teases, Itokin Park has unveiled his newest trio of Astronaut sofubi figures in a striking, spacey Black Rainbow Sparkles finish. Each of Itokin’s OG Astronaut, Space Mode Man and Power Suit space explorers feature dark-as-space suits filled with bright rainbow glitter.

As with Itokin’s recent releases, each figure comes with a random Small Universe omake (bonus) minis in vehicles specific to each Astronaut type. The OG Astronaut comes with a lander-like probe, Space Mode Man ships with a space capsule and the Power Suit is backed up with a rover. As you might know, there are 16 different Small Universe sculpts, so quite a dizzying number of figure + mini combos.
