A story of first love between Maren, a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and Lee, an intense and disenfranchised drifter, as they meet and join together for a thousand-mile odyssey which takes them through the back roads, hidden passages and trap doors of Ronald Reagan’s America. BALDWIN LEE

In 1983, the photographer Baldwin Lee left his home in Knoxville, Tennessee, and set off on a road trip through the American South. He did not know what his subject would be, but during the trip, he found himself drawn to photographing Black Americans at home, at work and at play, in the street and amid nature. Over the next seven years, he made numerous road trips to the South to continue his work. He returned with images so poignant and piercing, the Museum of Modern Art in New York acquired his photographs.

ALEXIS PIKE – COLOR ME LUCKY

Posted on 2022-10-31

Color Me Lucky is inspired by Evel Knievel’s swagger. It explores desire, sexuality, masculinity, image, and risk. It’s about the momentum that carries you forward, even when you know there’s a train wreck ahead. My work about this popular daredevil opens up a conversation about what attracts a woman or man to act on or witness risky behavior for the sake of a thrill. In these images, Knievel is the metaphor to decipher if we all have a bit of Evel in us.”

NOAH X BARBOUR

Posted on 2022-10-31

During the outdoor craze of the 1960s, a new technical fabric was introduced in the Northeast of the United States: 60/40 cloth. The name was derived from its fiber content–60% cotton/40% nylon. Originally used for mountain parkas, the cloth became wildly popular almost immediately, achieving a cult following amongst climbers and the like.

Since then, there have been incredible developments in the outdoor textile world utilizing new materials, processes and technologies seemingly every season. With this opportunity Noah have worked with Barbour again, they wanted to inject a little bit of that feeling into a truly British jacket.

In addition to the eight colorways of the 60/40 Bedale, Noah also wanted to offer a traditional waxed cotton Bedale. This season they chose camo and included a zip-out liner.
