NOAH AND TIMEX THE LIGHTHOUSE WATCH

Posted on 2025-04-14

NOAH release details for its third collaboration with Timex, showing a stripped-back design centered on with black and white lighthouse artwork. On the latest timepiece, NOAH founder Brendon Babenzien said “I’ve always loved lighthouses. I grew up not far from a lighthouse, which was a backdrop for many of my days at the beach. The timeless image of a lighthouse standing tall to lead the way felt like a great image for someone to carry with them throughout the day.”

In the spirit of these maritime monuments, Babenzien sees the lighthouse as a “symbol of strength and guidance every time you look down at your wrist.” With a 31x35mm rounded case, forgoing distracting numbers.

LIZ MAGOR – PERSONALIZE

Posted on 2025-04-14

Two fists extend from the gallery walls, each grasping a turning mass that extends to the floor below. As gyres stopped in motion, their coils are stacked in knots and twists, adopting a nearly bodily dimension. Equipped with two small eyes, it’s difficult to avoid personifying these strange creatures as they direct a shocked stare towards the viewer, wordless, or out of breath. The interjection of the uncanny pervades Magor’s work, as seen in Episode, 2024 a continuation of an ongoing series in which Magor meticulously replicates packing materials. Here, cardboard cast in gypsum is bent and folded, forming a compressed chamber that cradles a gleaming object inside. Supported by two bowed legs, the sculpture enacts a tenuous balance. This tension becomes a site of exploration for Magor, as each work represents a form of collision, whether it be between hard and soft, the fleeting and permanent, the anonymous and the personal, or even what is made and what is found. Throughout her work, Magor, with her own degree of humour, tests the limits of our ability to assign narrative and empathy to inanimate objects.

DEATH IN VEGAS – DEATH MASK

Posted on 2025-04-07

Death In Vegas return with new album ‘Death Mask’, where disintegration, overload and total sonic immersion tell a personal tale. With dirty circuitry and rough-hewn textures at the fore, this is gritty, unpolished techno; an audio outlier that’s full of personality, and a bold artistic statement. It’s closer in DNA to the grainy growl of sunn O))), or the searing intensity of Underground Resistance at their fiercest, and as far from generic influencer business as you could possibly get.

DRIFT – COMING HOME

Posted on 2025-04-07

Isaac “Drift” Wright, known globally as “Drift,” rose to prominence not through the traditional art world but through silence, steel, and the skyline. After serving in the military and confronting profound personal challenges, Wright began documenting his solitary climbs atop skyscrapers, capturing breathtaking images from vantage points few ever reach. His work, which gained viral traction online was first introduced to the wider public in a powerful 2021 New York Times profile by David Phillips, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. That story changed everything.

Four years later, that moment of recognition comes full circle. Wright’s first physical exhibition in New York City opens this spring in the heart of Chelsea, curated to reflect the city that has defined, challenged, and inspired him. The show will include the first-ever public display of his photograph taken from the spire of the Empire State Building, among a series of large-format images exploring the architectural intimacy and soaring tension of New York’s skyline. While centered on NYC, the exhibition also includes select works from across the U.S. and around the world, reflecting Wright’s evolution into a globally recognized artist with a singular point of view.
