BRAUN X NEIGHBORHOOD

Posted on 2025-04-21

The collection centers on reproductions of two models, updated with a custom dial cobranded with both brands’ logos. The BC02 is based on the AB1 miniature alarm clock, born in 1987, and the BC06 wall clock is based on the ABW30 model from 1981, a piece featured in MoMA‘s permanent collection. With a 24-hour Arabic index in addition to the 12-hour notation, the two pieces draw inspiration from military watch designs. Each clock is offered in minimal black and white plastic variants, following the sensibilities of Braun’s sleek design language.

LI RAN – THE SIGNS ARE PRESENT

Posted on 2025-04-21

This body of work is also marked by a cohesive and contemplative painterly language—non-polemical, free of antagonism, and unburdened by historical hierarchies of authority or precedence. Li offers viewers a personal and introspective point of entry: his daily studio ritual of opening the Bible and engaging with spiritual reflection. However, he asserts that this practice is not intended to invoke mysticism. Instead, it underscores an enduring capacity to engage with personal experience, manipulates visual and rhetorical motifs, and draws upon cultural references, without being constrained by dominant historical interpretations.

JAMES K – PLAY

Posted on 2025-04-14

New York based artist James K returns with a new song of summer – Play. This track is an electric pop anthem that blends ear-worming melodies with peak-time breaks, buzzing power-punk guitars and a classic rave pulse, with K’s signature enchanting vocals playfully spitting emotion. It’s a hallucinatory pleasure, tearing through your body and mind. Play rushes with a rebellion of friends-an electro fever daydream waking up everywhere we go.

YOU, THE PERFORMER

Posted on 2025-04-14

Casemore Gallery is pleased to present You, the performer, a group exhibition that brings together eight contemporary artists —Sophronia Cook, Jim Goldberg, Todd Hido, Whitney Hubbs, Jim Jocoy, Steve Kahn, Rachelle Mozman Solano, Larry Sultan, and Lindsey White— whose works explore the theatrical impulse embedded in both the act of image-making and the staging of the scenes documented within the frame. Drawing upon the aesthetics of performance, illusion, and mise-en-scène, these artists delve into the personal and collective unconscious, blurring the lines between documentary and fantasy, observer and participant, and fiction and reality.
