CARHARTT WIP X SUBU SLIPPERS

Posted on 2024-09-16

Carhartt WIP and SUBU work in collaboration to create a pair of cozy slip-ons for the colder seasons ahead. The Japanese brand specializes in creating winter sandals and its expertise is tapped as the silhouette is made using Cordura’s classic strong fabrication.

The outer shell is made from recycled polyester — this is notably abrasion-resistant and flame-retardent from campfires. Under the exterior, the shoes are soft and cozy as it is lined with a plush inner section and then further supported by a puffed 4-layer pillow insert. In terms of its visual appeal, the slip-ons are finished in Carhartt WIP’s signature Hamilton Brown palette. Branding is seen in the form of a square-shaped label stitched on the side.

XAVI BOU – ORNITHOGRAPHIES

Posted on 2024-09-16

Ornithographies reveal the hidden beauty of bird’s flight paths, stitching several seconds into a single image. Although Ornithographies is a current project, it has a somewhat distant origin, since it is born from the innocent and restless gaze of the child, who once was Xavi Bou. The photographer’s admiration for nature, especially for birds, arose during his childhood thanks to unforgettable long walks with his grandfather. Since then, the photographer’s interest in birds has continued to grow, eventually becoming the focus of his project Ornithographies.

LEICA M11-D

Posted on 2024-09-16

Leica has created a digital camera without a screen – a rare but purposeful decision. With the Leica M11-D, the company sought to return to the classic design of its M-system line while offering the capabilities of a contemporary digital camera.

Introduced in 1954, M-system stands for “Messsucher” in German (or rangefinder in English) but has come to essentially denote “Made in Germany.” The M11-D uses a large ISO dial where the digital screen would normally appear.

The camera can shoot in resolutions of 60, 36 or 18 MP and boasts 256 GB of storage. On the interior, the M-11D uses all the necessary hardware of an up-to-date, albeit simpler, digital camera. Bluetooth connectivity allows for the easy transfer of photos.
