2017-01-09James Lavelle will be taking over Lazarides Rathbone with ‘Daydreaming with UNKLE Present… THE ROAD: SOHO’ this will feature exclusive vinyl releases, a pop-up shop and much more. This is Lazarides’ first show of 2017 and will celebrate 25 years of UNKLE and the district of London where the story began; Soho.
The show will be one of the most immersive Rathbone has ever seen and will include a new virtual reality installation. James Lavelle plans to reveal the past, present and future joining talented artists, vintage artefacts and a floor dedicated to new UNKLE footage, all of which will be based in Lazarides, Rathbone.
This multi-sensory exhibition will get the artist inside you excited with collaborators such as 3D from Massive Attack, Futura, Doug Foster, Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones, Norbert Schoerner, Nathan Coley, Dexter Navy, John Isaacs and many more … The show will bring a new social experience to the heart of Soho with talks, screenings, signings and a club night.

2017-01-09Almine Rech Gallery New York is to announce a solo exhibition by renowned multi-disciplinary artist John M Armleder (of American and Swiss origin, born in 1948 in Geneva, lives and works in Geneva and New York), organized with Nicolas Trembley. Marking his first exhibition in the gallery’s New York space, Armleder will present a historic ensemble of drawings produced in the 1960s as well as his first wall paintings, a selection of notable Furniture Sculpture works from the 1980s, and a series of new paintings created in Brooklyn specifically for this exhibition.

DAVID BAILEY – NW1
2017-01-09The book is published to coincide with the book’s exhibition.
David Bailey had lived in Primrose Hill and Camden for nearly 30 years when he decided to capture the shuttered cinemas, boarded railway arches, crumbling Victorian facades, dormant car parks and advertising hoardings before they disappeared from view entirely. In 1982, when NW1 was first published, it reflected an already vanishing landscape: viewed now, Bailey’s photographs are even more portentous and poignant.
Gone is the history to be replaced with glass and steel, family businesses replaced by chain fashion stores and coffee shops.

2017-01-02While the mental divisions of those with dissociative identity disorder have long fascinated and eluded science, it is believed that some can also manifest unique physical attributes for each personality, a cognitive and physiological prism within a single being.
Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Compelled to abduct three teenage girls led by the willful, observant Casey (Anya Taylor-Joy, The Witch), Kevin reaches a war for survival among all of those contained within him—as well as everyone around him—as the walls between his compartments shatter apart.
