Posted on 2015-11-16

The KITH x Columbia Sportswear Bugaboo has all the features that the original did, such as the patented 3-in-1 Interchange system with a removable fleece lining, but it’s imbued with a couple of subtle modern updates like co-branded detailing and two-way zip closures.

The jacket is available in three colorways: the original 1986 blue/pink combo, all-new slate/salmon, and a classically-KITH black/3M variant.

BJORK POSTS VIDEO TO SAVE ICELAND’S HIGHLANDS

Posted on 2015-11-16

Björk has shared a video calling for global action to save Iceland’s highlands. The minute-long clip, in which she wears an ornate face mask and addresses the camera directly, calls for Icelanders to protest apparent government plans for an overhead power-line, along with dams and power plants in the country’s wilderness. At the end of the video, she calls for global support against the government.

“Icelanders have a deadline. For 11 more days they can go online and protest an overhead high voltage power-line. It will be built across the whole island. Iceland has now the largest untouched nature in Europe. This would end that. The government has plans to build over 50 dams and power plants in this area, and to start next year. This could end Iceland’s wilderness in a few years. We propose to start a national park in our highlands. Surveys have already proved that the majority of Icelanders are behind us. We ask for the world to support us against our government”

FOR A NEW WORLD TO COME

Posted on 2015-11-16

In the wake of the social and political upheaval of the late 1960s, Japanese artists and photographers began crafting a new visual language for an age of uncertainty. Their embrace of camera-based experiments would alter the cultural landscape and lay the foundations for contemporary art in Japan. For a New World to Come is the first comprehensive exhibition to spotlight this radical break with the past. With some 200 works by such luminaries as Ishiuchi Miyako, Daidō Moriyama, Jirō Takamatsu, and Shōmei Tōmatsu, the exhibition charts the stunning diversity of photographic practices during this pivotal era, from conceptual series situated squarely within global artistic currents, to visually arresting meditations on time, place, and self.

Exhibition runs through to January 10th, 2016
