TUCK FAUNTLEROY
2019-07-01Jackson Hole, Wyoming based photographer Tuck Fauntleroy captures the change of season in minimal and abstracted aerial photographs of rivers as they emerge from snow. Fauntleroy’s simple black and white rivers extend beyond the photographic frame leaving the viewer with a sense of continuation. The series Waterline is the culmination of ten years of mapping, flying, and exploring the ever-changing paths of isolated rivers throughout the west at the cusp of spring. Fauntleroy’s work is grounded in a sense of water, movement, positive and negative space, and impeccable timing. Noting the transitional progressions in remote locations, Fauntleroy expresses a deeply human desire to capture and chase the ephemerality of seasons and time.
