THE NORTH FACE – 1994 RETRO HIMALAYAN PARKA

Posted on 2020-10-12

The North Face is reintroducing a true icon of the high mountains, a jacket synonymous with exploration to all corners of the globe. The 1994 Retro Himalayan Parka.

First introduced alongside the brand’s first ever “Himalayan Suit”, the Parka was designed to maintain the technical capabilities in the most extreme conditions but be packaged in a much more wearable silhouette.

This rare blend of high performance functionality and difficult to replicate style made it an early icon, used and loved by explorers from Antarctica to London, Everest to Paris and the Karakoum to Berlin.

Now the new version of this icon brings the same authentic technical capabilities, updated for the modern explorer. The addition of breathable FUTURELIGHT™ technology brings an upgrade to the outer layer, whilst the 700-fill responsibly-sourced down provides massive warmth for the winter months.

Available in a range of colours including Red Flare and Summit Gold.

ATMOS X COLUMBIA

Posted on 2020-10-05

Inspired by traditional Japanese patchwork, atmos‘ latest Columbia collaboration steps away from branded appeal. In its place is intricate boro prints, a celebration of the Japanese upcycling heritage realized atop reversible fleece jackets and cozy long-sleeved T-shirts.

No stranger to a loud pattern, atmos’ latest effort is somewhat more subdued. Atop versatile black and white fleece Columbia Powder Keg jackets, the Japanese boutique has emblazoned photographic recreations of timeless boro textiles with surprising depth, but the wearer can reverse the loose-fitting jackets to hide the special accent. The quick-drying and UV-fighting layering pieces are accompanied by a graphic hoodie and T-shirt for additional styling capabilities.
