ARC’TERYX – BETA JACKET

Posted on 2024-03-04

The Beta Jacket and Beta Lightweight Jacket are two of the company’s best selling products and it has just updated them both with GORE-TEX ePE, a new kind of GORE-TEX that’s being touted as more sustainable and better for the planet.

Arc’teryx is one of the first brands to launch this latest version of the world-famous waterproof membrane. It was tested and co-created with the GORE company and, according to Arc’teryx, “met or exceeded performance benchmarks while delivering a measurable improvement in sustainability.” The new GORE-TEX ePE membrane is “lighter and thinner” than previous versions, it claims, adding to the jackets’ performance credentials, going on to say that the updated Beta jackets took over two years to develop and required “a total redesign.”

Gramicci has enlisted fellow Japanese label and wander for an adventurous collaboration.

The duo merges mutual brand identity, building on their Japanese roots and affinity for outdoor exploration. The line is guided by alfresco functionality, promoting shared values while honoring Gramicci’s previous home in California’s Yosemite National Park.

Gramicci x and wander joins hikers together for a good time, guiding them down hidden trails in the wilderness. Technical garments lead the range in paneled hues, kicking things off with purple-toned performance jackets that shield wearers from unexpected conditions. Pocketed crewnecks and resistant trousers trek towards the unknown, featuring contrasting pockets for increased storage on the move.

Posted on 2024-02-19

London-based outerwear brand Vollebak has just unveiled its latest creation, the Firefly Jacket — and it’s designed with two color-shifting membranes.

As one of Vollebak’s most future-facing designs to date, the jacket is infused with a phosphorescent compound, while the other is built with a fluorescent compound. This allows the jacket to change color throughout the day and night as the light conditions change around it; meaning the jacket can appear in a slew of shades, from copper and orange to glow-in-the-dark green and yellow.

BAPE STA SS24

Posted on 2024-02-12

Since its 2002 debut, the BAPE signature BAPE STA sneaker has become a streetwear imprint across numerous colorways and constructions – with leather being a key driving textile. Now for the Spring/Summer 2024 season, the brand is bringing back its core BAPE STA silhouette in patent leather.

The re-introduced sneakers sees BAPE STA’s signature design. However, the brand has tossed up the shoe in three new colorways featuring white/red, white/black and white/gray. With the re-introduction, BAPE presents colorways that are striking yet classically clean. On each shoe the patent leather appears in white while the colored portion sees calf leather constructions.
