NOAH X TIMEX GHOST NETS SUCK
2020-11-23A little over two years ago, Noah put out their Ghost Nets Suck! tee, featuring our turtle mascot and calling attention to the scourge of ghost nets. These abandoned, non-biodegradable, commercial fishing nets litter the ocean and wreak havoc on fragile ecosystems.
The issue has not gone away, so Noah’s message, and their mascot, are back. This time, they’re featured on a Noah x Timex watch, and Noah is donating 10% of its proceeds to Ocean Defenders Alliance, a 1% For the Planet partner whose volunteers physically remove ghost nets and other industrial fishing debris from the ocean.
Based on the Timex 38mm Waterbury watch, this collaborative design features a stainless-steel case, Timex classic INDIGLO backlight and 50 meters of water resistance, plus a 100% recycled polyester band by We aRe SpinDye, whose proprietary dyeing process significantly reduces the use of water and chemicals in its production. The material is high-performance and colorfast, even with repeated exposure to sun and water.
