FLAG DAY

Posted on 2026-06-08

Set in the small farming community of Three Oaks, Michigan, home to the nation’s largest Flag Day parade, Flag Day is a verité portrait of ritual, identity, and belonging in an era of deep political division. Somewhere between tradition and transformation lies this village, whose annual parade has become a pageant of American aspiration and memory. Over the course of Flag Day weekend, the film immerses viewers in the lives of a diverse cross-section of townspeople: veterans, local business owners, marching bands, and volunteers who, for one weekend each June, create an event that is at once nostalgic and reflective of the tensions of our time. Their stories reveal both the beauty and the fragility of community life in a time of polarization. Flag Day was filmed in an observational, verité style, capturing moments of humor, conflict, and grace as the community prepares for its defining ritual.

In theatres June 12th, 2026

SULEMAN AQEEL KHILJI – TRANSMISSION | نشریات

Posted on 2026-06-08

Dreamlike and spectral in quality, the figurative paintings of Suleman Aqeel Khilji’s exhibition expresses the indeterminate nature of memory and the passing of time. Painting on linen, found book covers and used cigarette packets, the artist further proposes recollection as provisional, composite and subject to interference. Drawing on ‘remembrances’ of his life in Quetta, Lahore, and the flickering light of train journeys through the Balochistan countryside, Khilji’s paintings understand landscape as vulnerable to the distortions of time and distance. His figures, meanwhile, appear as if to occupy a nether realm, neither resolving into identifiable individuals nor fully dissolving into the hazy ground of the pictorial field.

THE ART OF THE GAME – SCULPTURES

Posted on 2026-06-08

Created in partnership with the New York New Jersey 2026 FIFA World Cup Host Committee, The Art of the Game brings twenty-three internationally acclaimed artists together to reimagine soccer’s most iconic object – the ball – as monumental public sculpture, installed across New York and New Jersey. Museum directors, curators, and cultural leaders helped shape the program and select its artists.

Art and sport share something rare: both cross borders, speak without translation, and pull strangers into the same moment. The Art of the Game puts that connection on full display, placing ambitious contemporary work in parks, plazas, transit hubs, and museums – where millions of people encounter it simply by living their lives.

The program was designed from the beginning to outlast the tournament and become part of the lasting cultural legacy of the 2026 FIFA World Cup

JAE TIPS X SKULLCANDY CRUSHER ANC 2 HEADPHONES

Posted on 2026-06-01

Bronx native Jae Tips is officially bringing his colorful, highly coveted design language into a brand-new space. Leaning heavily into the era of early 2000s tech and retro gaming, Jae Tips completely overhauled the visual language of the Crusher ANC 2. The headphones boast a striking, transparent emerald shell that instantly evokes memories of classic see-through electronics and vintage computers. Continuing the heavy dose of gaming nostalgia, the control buttons are styled in bright, playful colors that directly mimic the iconic feel of a Nintendo 64 controller.

Of course, a Jae Tips collaboration wouldn’t be complete without his signature branding. His familiar floral details are seamlessly integrated into the hardware, connecting the audio piece directly back to his highly successful footwear and apparel drops. The retro gaming theme also extends beyond the headphones themselves, with the collaboration arriving in specialized, custom packaging heavily inspired by the classic Super Mario Bros. franchise.
