TweetAdidas Originals continues to find interesting new ways to put a spin on the 50-year old shoe, which is a two-pack of Superstar 80s featuring huge chenille varsity-style letters on the heel. Available in black and white, each pair offers a premium leather upper with tonal three stripe branding. The chenelle letters continue the tonal look, with the left shoe featuring “SUPER” while the right finishes the branding with “STAR.”
TweetCalvin Klein‘s Jeans imprint and the Andy Warhol Foundation join for a new collection of collaborative goods. Encompassing staple pieces like tees, sweaters, sneakers and jeans, the drop showcases a host of vibrant, bi-color prints executed in Warhol’s inimitable pop art style. Dubbed “Self Portraits,” the release takes its name to heart, offering a series of self-shot photograph portraits taken by Warhol over the span of his career.
TweetPoster Girl – a London based label specialising in luxury micro-mesh womenswear – have recently introduced a Series of photographs putting light (or shade) on the way we want to be perceived through social media. Developed by the design duo in Los Angeles while visiting a Goodwill thrift store, the images revolve around their signature aesthetic being seen in day to day situations (rather than on the red carpet or at a party). Using voyeurism and lo-fi camera equipment, the outcome shows the designers humourous & light hearted outlook on today’s current fashion landscape. With a society plagued by new standards of ‘perfection’ seen on every blogger’s / influencer’s feed, it’s hard to keep up or see individuality. To these designers, there’s no shame in being spotted at Tesco looking spectacular, let alone taking out the bins or getting lunch at a local chippy.
