TRUUS DE GROOT PRESENTS PLUS INSTRUMENTS – UNNOTICED

Posted on 2026-01-12

After nearly five decades of relentless innovation, Truus de Groot’s Plus Instruments project shows no signs of slowing down. The ninth album, Unnoticed, finds the dutch Pioneer diving deeper into the experimental synthesiser palette than ever before, delivering 12 tracks of minimalist, analogue noise and her signature vocals.

Recorded at The Ranch in Escondido, Unnoticed showcases her continued evolution as an artist. Often referred to as the “Queen of the Dutch Underground,” de Groot is a stalwart of the experimental underground music scene since establishing Plus Instruments in 1978 in Eindhoven. Her journey has taken her from the punk rock explosion of the late ’70s Netherlands to the No Wave scene of early ’80s New York, where she collaborated with Sonic Youth member Lee Ranaldo and drummer David Linton on the cult classic “Februari-April ’81.”

MARIO PAROLI – BIC LAMP

Posted on 2026-01-12

The BIC Lamp, designed by Mario Paroli for the Italian brand Seletti, transforms one of the world’s most recognizable writing instruments into a surprising lighting fixture.

Unveiled at the Maison&Objet 2026 fair in Paris, the collection faithfully translates the iconic BIC Cristal ballpoint pen at an enlarged 12:1 scale. The project celebrates the 75th anniversary of the BIC Cristal, paying tribute to the Parisian origins of the company founded by Marcel Bich.

Available in black, blue and red colorways.

THILO HEINZMANN – ONE ANOTHER

Posted on 2026-01-12

The exhibition consists of three different types of work: his recent sand paintings, a small group of his best-known pigment paintings (dated between 2024 and 2025), and an example of his series Aicmo (pieces made on aluminium supports).

In general terms, certain fundamentals of painting such as colour, gesture, and composition continue to be decisive in Heinzmann’s work. Yet with its marked conceptual impulse, his work also possesses a strong material development and is fully susceptible to humour, surprise, and emotion. It is formulated both from mechanistic models of form and from organicist models; procedurally, it proposes a radicalism in the tracing of marks, gestures, brushstrokes, and interventions, which are carried out indiscriminately with various tools and brushes, as well as with the artist’s own hands and fingers.

Opposite – O.T. (TH/M 01743), 2025

Exhibition runs through to February 16th, 2026

GRAPHPAPER X LOOPWHEELER

Posted on 2026-01-12

Central to the collaboration is the usage of LOOPWHEELER’s signature sweatshirt fabric, produced on vintage loopwheel looms to create a fluffy texture and comfortable fit . Graphpaper reconstructs this material into its own unique, spacious silhouettes . Returning favorites include the “Raglan Sweat” and “Sweat Parka,” both designed with extra volume in the armholes and body width to emphasize the fabric’s inherent softness.
