Posted on 2022-10-24

Fujiwara, who’s often cited as the godfather of streetwear, echoes the technological and aesthetic leaps and bounds VanMoof has made in the bicycle department, and now its S3 model e-bike has been given the fragment rework.

Much like Fujiwara, the e-bike has seen a growing cultural footprint, moving into traditional spaces and subsequently bringing them into a new era.
The collaborative e-bike comes packed with all of VanMoof’s latest technology, including Turbo Boost for instant acceleration, automatic electronic four-gear shifting, integrated hydraulic brakes, a keyless Kick Lock, and anti-theft devices.

Fragment design’s VanMoof S3 collaboration is debuting exclusively at Dover Street Market London

CKTRL – LOVE + WAR (FEAT. OPHIE)

Posted on 2022-10-17

From the heartbreak that defined his previous EP robyn, cktrl elevates above it with the more hopeful, intimate, and serenading tracks on zero. Exploring love as freely and naturally as possible, zero finds its catharsis in blossoming, rippling layers of organic instrumentation merging with subtle electronic textures. ‘mazes’ with harpist Ahya Simone opens to a sweet earthen symphony of faintly fluttering pianos and full, brassy saxophone. Stuttering beats drift smokily around the title track, with effortlessly cascading guitar plucks matching Mereba’s velvety vocal harmonies.

FILA X SEMI-PRO

Posted on 2022-10-17

FILA and Warner Bros. Discovery have linked to launch a collaborative capsule inspired by 2008’s cult-classic sports comedy, Semi-Pro.

Honoring the fictional ABA squad, the Flint Tropics, the collection is filled with the team’s iconic logo and signature teal and orange tones from their uniforms. Inside the collection, a hooded sweatshirt dons the team’s emblems on its chest, with ribbed detailing on the cuffs and the waist; and a white T-shirt fronts both the Semi-Pro and FILA iconography on the front left chest, with lettering reading “Moon” and “33” on the back that nods to the movie’s famed character Jackie Moon. There’s also a pair of white basketball shorts featuring side stripes of inspired teal and orange.

JULIE CURTISS – SOMNAMBULES

Posted on 2022-10-17

Somnambules is the French word for “sleepwalkers”; the works in this exhibition evoke an in-between state, almost trance-like, where the lines between the real and surreal collide. The title is also a reference to the Federico García Lorca poem, wherein a shared sensibility between the two artists can be found in the juxtaposition of things that don’t normally belong together, a mainstay of Curtiss’ approach. Somnambules consists of new paintings, works on paper, and sculptures, all demonstrating a marked evolution in the artist’s practice: the introduction of watercolor in her drawings; new materials in the sculptures; and ambitious undertakings in the paintings–including a large diptych depicting a scene in Times Square.

Opposite – Gator, 2022

Exhibition runs through to October 22nd, 2022
