UK electronic legend Carl Finlow makes his full debut on Avoidant Records with the clinical Engines Of Creation EP. Easily one of the most highly respected producers to come out of the UK, Carl has a discography going back over 20 years and spanning multiple genres. After his first outing the label as part of the ‘Defend Your Planet’ compilation, Carl drops 4 classic, superbly produced cuts of hi techno electro funk.

Upon his release he vows to give his girlfriend Annie (Evangeline Lilly), who is dying of cancer, the best last year of her life. But things are never that simple, and when he is given a “side job” from his parole officer (Shea Whigham), it sets off a series of events that leaves Jimmy in the crosshairs of a local crime boss (Mike Colter). Now, he must stop at nothing to save Annie and fight for whatever time they have left.

TweetThe shoes are meant to honor the story of Hachikō who was a dog that is famously known for his immeasurable loyalty to his owner Hidesaburō Ueno — a former agriculture professor at the University of Tokyo. The legend says that after Ueno passed away in 1925, the friendly canine waited at the Shibuya train station every day for nine years as this was their meeting place on his commute home.
The collaborative kicks are modeled to translate the look of the Japanese Akita. Uppers are designed with beige faux fur materials and contrasted with dark brown stripes, laces and suede heel overlays. The shell toe boxes and midsoles are given creamy applications, the latter of which prints out the address of where Hachikō‘s famous Shibuya statue is located. Other significant elements to point out include the tongue’s branded silver plates as well as the insoles that read “You Make Shibuya.”
