The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

TweetThe Black Dog takes a bite out of the Post-Truth album with these rewirings of key album track ‘Cognitive Dissonance’. Anthony Liely turns in a lush extension, matching some of the early MDR records for pure, DJ ready functionality. Slit meanwhile puts a donk on it with a broken beat roll adding some aquatic elements to the cold, steely electronics of the original. Yet the go-to track is the freshly founded ‘Literal Optical Slant’ which sounds like some of the recent Regis CUB gear played at the wrong speed and pitched down into oblivion.

Following the release of “Joined Ends” in 2014 – a deeply intimate and textured project he describes as his “chamber music” record – Dorian Concept performed everywhere from Glastonbury to Sonar to MoMA PS1’s Warm Up and then deliberately took himself off the radar. The time since has been spent meticulously un-learning his prodigious production process and developing a brand new sound that even the most clued-up won’t be expecting – showcased on ‘Promises’, in the most prominent use of his voice to date. The recording and processing of his vocals represent not only a more human expression of his highly technical sound, but also an inclination toward recursion – the challenge, ephemerality, and demand for attention of “unequal repetition” which shapes the build and deconstruction of energy throughout the record.

The opening scene is a party that the Stiles are hosting for other dignitaries. Karim is helping out serving the guests. When a CIA friend of Mason, Cal, comes to the party he is interested only in taking Karim in for questioning about an older brother Mason doesn’t know about.

TweetSous Les Etoiles Gallery is hosting “In Situ”, by French artist and photographer Georges Rousse, his second solo show with the gallery. For this occasion, the gallery has given free rein to the artist to create an installation within its space. In conjunction with this performance, the exhibition will be showcasing Rousse’s most recent work accomplished in the last two years.
In recent years Georges Rousse has been commissioned to make installations in various locations such as France, Japan, Peru, South Korea and the United States. In 2016, Georges Rousse unveiled his first permanent public art installation, commissioned by The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in partnership with Starbucks.
