Raf Simons has worked with dark colors this season for Fred Perry, including black, brown and grey tones. The collection offers knitwear, pants, jackets and of course a good amount of polo shirts. Accents are set mostly with subtle metallic embroideries, as well as with patchwork cuts. Overall the collection is pretty simple and easy to wear.

ADIDAS X RANSOM

Here’s a look into Ransom’s debut collection for adidas Originals. The range consists of four styles: the Creek, the Summit, the Pier, and the Dune. Each comes in several color and material variations with fabrics such as tumbled leather, premium suede, heavy duty canvas, nubuck, raw leather and gloss leather making the rounds. We can honestly say we’re fans of every style in this collection. Canadians just do it right.

TEARS OF EROS

Posted on 2009-11-23

The exhibition takes its name from Les Larmes d’Éros (1961), Georges Bataille’s last book before his death and his final contribution on a theme he had researched in depth in Eroticism (1957): the intimate relationship between Eros and Thanatos, between sex drive and death instinct. To explore the intimate relationship between Eros and Thanatos, the mythological figures are set out in an almost narrative sequence, moving forward from innocence to temptation, from temptation to the torment of passion, and ending in atonement and death.

Exhibition runs through to 31st Janaury, 2009
