The tallest building in Dublin city was wired up with two huge 100,000 Euro screens. The combination of Underworld’s unmistakable talent for drawing on primal energies and Mark Knight and D.Ramirez’s unquestionable production skills and knowledge of the Dance Floor tells a powerful story that is ahead of the curve and pays off with a monster riff in the drop.

FROM DESERT TO MOUNTAINS: MOROCCO

Posted on 2009-11-30

Morocco is easily one of our favourite holiday destinations. It’s the equivalent of sensory overload, and combines African, Middle Eastern and European culture flawlessly.
From Tangier to Marrakech, the sights, sounds and smells of Morocco add to the buzzing atmosphere that makes a holiday there a magical experience.
And it’s the latter, Marrakech, that has been under the celebrity spotlight of late. In fact, two of A-lister Brad Pitt’s exes have spent some time in the city to celebrate the re-opening of the La Mamounia Hotel (we can organise your stay of course) – which is the pinnacle of luxury in the city.
Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow were joined by Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr and Salma Hayek at the opening, which comes after a multi-million pound refurbishment.
Lauding the hotel’s luxurious credentials, French decorator Jacques Garcia said the secret to the palace’s success is “elegance, elegance and elegance”.

So if you thought Morocco was not on our luxury-holiday radar, you’d be wrong. But we won’t ignore the adventurous side of the country either, so Morocco really is the ultimate getaway for those wanting to combine luxury and excitement.

SKULL

Posted on 2009-11-30

Michael Leon’s “skull wearing sunglasses” graphic was recently converted into a 3D sculpture with help from the likes of Bob Kronbauer and Mike from Furni. Each skull is hand-engraved, numbered and signed and evokes a sense of ‘memento mori’. Only 100 pieces have been produced in numerous colors and applications.

SHALLOW

Shallow is a series of original musical paintings or cut-ups composed by Malcolm McLaren from appropriated clips lifted from film which depict people just before sex. The footage is spliced, repeated and slowed down, resulting in a hypnotic, layered and provocative work. This collection of musical paintings – portraits of people preparing, thinking, desiring, wanting, wishing, anticipating to have sex, have been excavated from the ruins of pop culture: amateur sex films and pop music

Exhibition runs through to January 3rd, 2010
