2018-08-13“Several years ago, while I was sitting across the table from my late father on his 90th birthday, it became clear to me, for the first time, that his dementia had taken a significant part of him away. That was a very powerful moment and the catalyst for the entire “Scratch” series.The work comes together around notions of the unknown, incremental loss, perceptions, transformation and the corners of ourselves, individually and collectively, we may rather leave in the dark.” – CB
