2022-09-26The elusive Rotterdam-based label Echo Ltd comes through with another anonymous selection of heavy and atmospheric dub techno. Many tracks on the 005 LP feature swathes of dreamy textures with a spacious quality, along with shuffling rhythms that make their dusky club feels perfect for the dancefloor. The murmuring synths and steadily ticking swung rhythms of ‘Maus’ complement the slower sways of ‘Ctrl Z’, submerged in an ocean of dub molasses. ‘Eindbaas’ meanwhile grows in tension, with churning low frequencies and waves of snaking arpeggiated synths.
