ADIDAS SPEZIAL AND LIAM GALLAGHER
2022-04-25Herzogenaurach, April 27th, 2022 – Brought together through their enduring cultural legacies, on April 27th, adidas Spezial and Liam Gallagher are set to reignite their long standing relationship with an exclusive concert at Blackburn’s King George’s Hall.
A lifelong fan of the Three-Stripes, Liam Gallagher has stayed loyal to the brand throughout his career, nurturing a close friendship with Spezial founder, Gary Aspden along the way. An authentic relationship that has naturally flourished over the past two decades, Liam and Gary have worked together on a number of projects, including the launch of their first collaborative silhouette – the LG SPZL – in 2019.
Presented and made possible by adidas Spezial, the King George’s Hall Concert represents the latest official collaborative endeavor between the two figureheads. Recognised as the birthplace of Spezial, April 27th will be the first time that Liam has ever performed in Blackburn. Intimate, exclusive, and undeniably rooted in culture, the event anticipates the arrival of Liam’s third solo album on May 27th and has been organized in partnership with Nightsafe, a charity supporting young homeless people in the Blackburn and Darwen area.
During the concert Liam will also be debuting a brand new collaborative silhouette on stage – the LG II SPZL – which is set to arrive later this year. Blending the timeless elegance of classic archival styles with the artist’s inimitable perspective, the new shoe is a true celebration of heritage and musical legacy.
“I’m glad to announce my new collaboration with adidas Spezial” said Liam Gallagher. “It’s our take on the one and only Barrington Smash and it’s absolutely incredible. And if that’s not enough to blow your wig off, I’m going to be playing The King George’s Hall in Blackburn, Lancashire. All proceeds from the gig will be in aid of Nightsafe, a local homeless charity”.
