ACTRESS – BIRD MATRIX (REMIXES)
2015-11-02Having first made an appearance on Actress’s contribution to the long-running DJ-Kicks mix series, ‘Bird Matrix’ has now been remixed by Kid606 and Simbiosi on a new 12”. Kid606 delivers a 10-minute-long club version of the track before inverting it entirely on his hollowed-out dub mix. Italian duo Simbiosi (who release with Actress’s Werkdiscs label themselves) also have a stab at remixing it, with grainy, lo-fi, repetitive results. Also included is a full version of the ambient track ‘Pear’, a track by the mysterious GNESIS (another alias for Actress?) that also first appeared on the DJ-Kicks mix.
