REFRESHERS – BUGGED
2023-08-07London producer Refreshers (aka Lukid, one half of the duo Rezzett) returns for the fourth instalment of his run of self-released EPs entitled Bugged. Once again in the vein of rough jungle, Bugged packs plenty of Amen break abuse into its compact run time. The title track rides a circular toasting vocal over overdriven in-the-red bass before a beat switch throws everything into brighter focus. Meanwhile, the B side’s ‘Make Me Feel so Good’ edges closer to classic hardcore with its choppy hi-hats and helium-pitched vocal stabs.
