FILM4 SUMMER SCREEN AT SOMERSET HOUSE
2011-05-09Somerset House stages London’s best-loved open-air cinema, as Film4 Summer Screen returns with a diverse line-up of classic, cult and contemporary cinema, presented in the spectacular surrounds of the 18th century courtyard.
Season highlights for 2011 include the full version of acclaimed director Luc Besson’s The Big Blue; Roman Polanski’s masterful private-eye thrillerChinatown, with Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway; the spectacular and always-exciting action classic Die Hard; and Sir Roger Moore as James Bond in the much-loved 007 adventure The Spy Who Loved Me.
Behind the Screen with BAFTA continues this year, offering rare opportunities to hear directors, actors and industry insiders from this year’s programme illuminate the films, in animated and interesting discussions. The talks last approximately one hour and guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary drink before hand in the Behind the Screen bar.
