2020-06-01The capsule comes with a total of four T-shirts, colored in blue, brown, white and black, each nodding to signature motifs and album artwork from the band. One of the band’s most recognizable graphics is a print of a white laundry machine — album artwork of Washing Machine (1995). Popping out from a bright blue background, the image is thinly etched with black outlines with “Sonic Youth” stamped at the center of the print. Another T-shirt sports a print of the band’s album cover Goo from 1990. It features a hand-drawn illustration that was originally based on a newspaper photograph of Maureen Hindley and David Smith, key witnesses in the 1966 Moors Murders trial.
