MAHARISHI SS20 IKAT WEAVE COLLECTION
2020-05-18One of the oldest forms of textile patterning, the Japanese dying technique Kasuri, also known as Ikat (Indonesian for ‘to bind’ or ‘tie’)), is a resist dyeing method, the yarn is bound in bundles before applying dye, preventing colour running into certain areas and once woven into cloth, results in a recognisable ikat pattern. The collection is made up of a camp collar summer shirt, pullover smock, asym collar shirt and asym track shorts.
