2021-08-16“André Butzer and Ulrich Wulff show new works on paper. The two artists are connected by a longstanding friendship and artistic relationship. Butzer and Wulff have exhibited, published and organized exhibitions together in various constellations several times in the past. Their works are not only superficially related. The sheets presented at Kugler Gallery, which are to
be dedicated to the understanding of colored surfaces and a harmony of colors, show an inner connection. A target tone always corresponds to a basic tone in the picture. To this roundness and irrational pictorial calculation corresponds the immeasurable tone, which can only be struck carefully.
