2024-11-04Electro don Robert Heise turns his attention back to The Exaltics project for a new EP on his steady label home Repetitive Rhythm Research entitled The Rising Sun. The title track is a persistent, low end heaving smasher that somehow gets even more lethal in the hands of Alden Tyrell and Serge, who beef up the kicks and add helicopter blade synths to bleary-eyed effect. ORX also joins the fun on an edit that, as its title suggests, is indeed a relentless pursuit of white-knuckled tension.

2024-11-04The dual exhibition showcases Forrester’s depictions of London’s 1980s reggae and dub nightclub scene across both galleries. Each includes focused rooms dedicated to other significant bodies of work: Andrew Kreps Gallery highlights memories from the artist’s childhood and adolescence, while Stephen Friedman Gallery presents three significant historical paintings depicting police brutality and the untimely death of his friend Winston Rose.

2024-11-04Queer is a 2024 period romantic drama film directed by Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay by Justin Kuritzkes, based on the 1985 novella of the same name by William S. Burroughs. Set in 1950s Mexico City, the film follows an outcast American expat (Daniel Craig) who becomes infatuated with a younger man (Drew Starkey).
