ToyQube has collaborated with the Keith Harding Foundation and the Artestar licensing group on a modernized take on the late Keith Haring’s line of AM/FM radios first released back in 1985. The new versions transform the concept to a fully-functional multimedia speaker by taking full advantage of current technology including Bluetooth, SD card reader for MP3 playback, mini USB port and dual speakers for stereo sound. While the internals are all new and improved, the new versions retain the look and proportions (4″ high) of the originals. Available in three colorways, these will be available for pre-order from ToyQube shortly in advance of a March/April ship date.

Luke Chueh visited Singapore in December and as a result collaborated with the fine folks at Flabslab on brand-new ‘This is Fuckin’ Unbearable’ flight tags. The two-sided, embroidered flight tags feature the first three words on one side and Unbearable with the artist’s iconic bear head logo on the reverse.

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of UK singer Peter Murphy’s seminal Deep album (1989), Plasticgod has created a new vinyl art toy of Murphy, known as both a soloist and as the vocalist of the influential Bauhaus band. Inspired by the singer’s appearance in the video for the album’s Cuts You Up track, the 6″ figure features pearlescent hair, a nod to Murphy’s platinum blond locks and the traditional 30th Anniversary stone, and a solid black outfit.

As an invited guest to Tokyo Comic-Con, Sket One created a custom of host Tomenosuke’s Blaster 2019 resin kit, a highly accurate recreation of Deckard’s blaster from the Blade Runner films. The Sketchup Blaster blends Sket’s condiment custom projects with this rather unusual packaging. A riff off his Sketchup Dunny (2010), the blaster features a ‘used’ design with a half-empty blaster and ketchup left at the end of the pop top barrel. As a nice touch, a small amount of leaked ketchup lies in a pool just below the barrel.

EFX Collectibles has crafted a limited edition prop replica of the unique lightsaber wielded by the alternate Rey that has fallen to the Dark Side.
Limited to 750 units worldwide, the made in USA 1:1 replica is machined from solid aluminum and features metal details to serve as a proud representation of the on-screen item. EFX Collectibles also studied the actual prop and reference materials supplied by the Lucasfilm production team to re-create the functioning hinge found on the actual prop and detailed weathering found all over. Each lightsaber comes complete with a hardwood display designed for convertible display and comes marked with a numbered metal plaque paired with a prop story/certificate of authenticity.
