With Myself, a collaboration between NY-based artist Amber Vittoria and Unbox Industries, is an expression of her uplifting, body-positive artwork. Created while she was becoming reacquainted with her transforming body as she dealt with severe allergies and a diagnosis that restricted her physical activity, the piece explores the ongoing, dynamic relationship people have with their bodies. It’s also a reminder, that all shapes and sizes are beautiful.
With Myself is the rare art toy that is unflinchingly focused on celebrating differences and broaching potentially uncomfortable discussions. The piece continues the conversation of how we see ourselves and one another and equally importantly, what our toys say about the world we live in and the world we’d like to be a part of.

A classic trefoil logo punctuates the design, giving the piece a classic sportswear feel. It’s not all aesthetic though, this accessory is made from recycled, breathable materials and can be easily washed and reused thanks to the sturdy but comfortable stretch fabric.

This is the character “Little Enid” from Daniel Clowes’ cult classic graphic novel Ghost World which was adapted into an Academy Award nominated film of the same title. Originally released in a smaller size in 2001 and now a sold out coveted item, she is making a powerful comeback in a bigger more dynamic larger size as “Bigger Little Enid!”

Fragmented bodies, faceless portraits of women and identities hidden between luscious locks of hair, the surreal works of Julie Curtiss present an enigmatic riddle, an invitation to reflect on the idea of an ever-changing self. Playing with the viewer’s gaze by carefully concealing and revealing, Curtiss entices the audience to actively engage with her work; completing the puzzle it presents with their own stories.
For her collaboration with Case Studyo, Curtiss relished the opportunity to create an object that people can touch and have an intimate relationship with. ‘La femme secrète’ is a carefully constructed wooden sculpture that also functions as a box, harbouring a secret compartment.
