JOEL TETTAMANTI – COMPASS POINTS

Posted on 2013-02-18

Joël Tettamanti’s photographs are a vast archive of the structures, villages and cities that people create and inhabit, and the landforms and climates that shape their culture. Although his photographs are often unpeopled, the focus of his work is the human presence in the landscape and the people who are uplifted and sometimes defeated by the land they inhabit. This contradiction of human frailty and resilience, and the continuities people form with the land, are embedded in Tettamanti’s photographic vision.

Joël Tettamanti was born in 1977 in Efok/Cameroon and is a graduate of ECAL, Lausanne. Based in Zurich and Lausanne, he has worked from Asia to the Arctic Circle on assignment for magazines and commercial clients such as Wallpaper, Victorinox, Clariant, and Gigon Guyer.

CAPITAL STEEZ – 135

Posted on 2013-02-18

It’s been almost two months now since Capital Steez’s untimely death, but today the boys of Pro Era pay tribute to their friend. The crew posted a new music video today accompanying Steez’s “135” from the AmeriKKKan Korruption mixtape.
The clip stars Steez himself as he wanders around New York City in a Valentine’s Day appropriate mood. Alongside the video, the Pro Era boys write:

“As my bro Steez would have said, Valentines day is Amerikkkan Korruption. Love is free. So instead of buying something, share the video with someone you love.

Long Live Steelo.”

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE / JAY-Z – SUIT & TIE

Posted on 2013-02-18

Justin Timberlake’s single “Suit & Tie” has been directed by David Fincher – who did the JT-starring film The Social Network – it’s a glitzy retro showbiz tale in the black-and-white vein of Timberlake’s Grammy performance. He gets a massage, plays a piano, sings and dances a lot, smokes a cigarette and hangs out with Jay-Z.
