The Latitude Festival is a recently created annual music festival that takes place in Henham Park, Southwold, Suffolk, England. The first Latitude Festival took place on the 14-16 July 2006. The 2009 Festival will be on 16-19 July featuring headliners Pet Shop Boys, Grace Jones, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and a very special world exclusive solo performance from Thom Yorke.
Latitude is said to be more similar to continental European festivals; as well as a comprehensive bill of musicians, bands and artists across four stages – The Obelisk Arena, The Uncut Arena, The Sunrise Arena, and the Huw Stephens curated Lake Stage – the festival comprises elements of theatre, art, comedy, cabaret, poetry, politics and literature.
TweetCelebrating its twentieth anniversary, City Parks Foundation is pleased to announce the 2009 season schedule of its flagship free performing arts festival, Central Park SummerStage. Internationally acclaimed for presenting world-renowned and emerging talent from around the globe and New York City’s own backyard, the Central Park SummerStage season promises to be as electrifying as ever with a calendar chock-full of culturally diverse programs in multiple disciplines including music, dance, word, film, and comedy.
TweetThis summer sees the very first Serpentine Sessions to be held in the prestigious Hyde Park. Regina Spektor, Bon Iver and Tindersticks are to headline this unique and intimate series of concerts on 29th June, 30th June and 1st July. Each event will take place in a specially designed area in the royal park. Unlike other London outdoor events, these concerts will be very intimate, as there is a capacity of just 3000 per night so tickets will be limited.
TweetThe 2009 Summer Series line up looks like one of the best for years with a whole host of top live acts taking to the Somerset House stage one of London’s most romantic outdoor venues. Acts including Grace Jones, Lily Allen, The Ting Tings, Bat For Lashes and many more all playing live and outdoor come rain or shine.
