MAK & PASTEMAN – LISTEN

Posted on 2026-02-23

Faux Poly welcomes Mak & Pasteman for their to the label with Listen EP, a three-track release that marks a confident return for the duo after time away from the dancefloor. Known for their genre-bending approach across bass music, the pair step back into familiar territory with a collection that draws from the UK’s rich heritage of jungle, dubstep, grime and breakbeat.

The title track ’Listen’ leads with breakbeat grit and a euphoric breakdown that tips into big-room territory. ‘Plastic People’ nods to the iconic London club, channelling the weight and space of classic UK dubstep. The closing track ‘Lonely At The Top’ leans into UK bass but with a grime energy cutting through – raw, heavy, and unpolished in the best way. Together they make for a sharp snapshot of Mak & Pasteman’s return: rooted in the past but wired for the present

ERASERHEAD – HURRICANE WITH TEETH

Posted on 2026-02-23

Originally linking up with Love Love in its breakcore netlabel infancy with his refined, breaks-heavy breakcore/gabba, Eraserhead’s flair for tight, intricate productions was evident in his finely tuned tracks of controlled chaos. This time around, his work is a darker, more expansive evolution of his sound, with the scale upsized and the stylistic scope massively broadened, remaining unfaithful to any single genre, but with firm nods to Breakcore, Grime, Drum & Bass, Techno, Rave, Dubstep, and Footwork, all chewed up with a hard industrial edge and cinematically framed by a backdrop of apocalyptic synths.

ROD MODELL – GROTTO OF THE SUN

Posted on 2026-02-23

Rod Modell (Deepchord) continues the run of gorgeous environmental ambient releases on the Italian label Silentes under his own name with Frequencies In The Fog. Built up from field recordings, digitally-treated vocal cuts, and delicate synth pads, Modell creates a sonic world so dense and tactile here it genuinely feels like walking around an empty field on a foggy night. Divided into two long movements, the music here flows cyclically, revealing more of itself with each repetition.

808 STATE VS HUMANOID – IN PLACE OF LANGUAGE

Posted on 2026-02-16

808 State and Future Sound Of London have long circled each other as pioneers in the early rave scene, so after decades of trading the occasional remix, rave comes full circle when Graham Massey and Brian Dougans AKA Humanoid finally present their debut collaboration. In Place Of Language is a high octane record no imitators can match, as the originators bring golden age experience to a coursing hifi sound. Illusory synth textures shift and blur between gnarly acid contortions and lush hand drum driven respites, chopping up clanging metal snaps, molten bass licks, and fourth world leaning sax into a tight and slick club weapon.

MC D – MC’S

Posted on 2026-02-16

M.C.’s/How Many Miles? is the follow-up solo single and arrival proper of MC D. With DJ Fusion once again handling production and scratch duties, this extended player is no less uncompromising than its predecessor. Benefitting a full release with the now iconic Mendoza green labels, it cemented the young MC in the annals of UK rap history. MC D (aka Darren James) cut one more record for Mendoza as part of his Silent Eclipse project before moving on to future collaborations with the likes of The Principle (Caveman), Deckwrecka, Rodney P and Skinnyman.

GREEN-HOUSE – FAREWELL, LITTLE ISLAND

Posted on 2026-02-16

As Green-House, musicians Olive Ardizoni and Michael Flanagan engage human nature and the natural world through joyous, dynamic synthesis. Overlaying frequencies and expressions like camouflage, their deeply layered collaborative process begins with either artist; Ardizoni is often drawn to melody, Flanagan to harmonics. The power lies in how their ideas helix together, achieving a depth greater than the sum of its parts. For their first LP with new label home, Ghostly International, Green-House grows and refines their vivid instrumental songcraft with uncharted, genre-defying freedom and movement, a more active, percussive, and emotion-filled energy, marked by flowing bodies of sound and sweeping vistas.

Farewell, Little Island, is from the album Hinterlands, which is released on March 20th, 2026.
