NIKKOLOS MOHAMMED LADY HOOPS BOX SET
2020-03-09Inspired by the layering process that occurs during printmaking, Mohammed chose risography, a stencil duplicator, for his first box set. The riso prints one color at a time, creating vibrant, bright colors in a process similar to photocopying. “Lady Hoops Box Set” includes six black and white originals, along with six colored images.
Each work depicts American professional basketball coach and former Los Angeles Lakers player Nick Van Exel surrounded by decór of the Boston Garden’s floor, paying homage to Van Exel’s winning shot against the Boston Celtics at the historic arena in 1995.
Each work comes numbered, signed and dated by the artist in a hand-screen printed 16 inch by 20-inch box. Launching in an edition of 10
