2015-02-02Future disco remix treatment from I:Cube & Prins Thomas for Todd Terje on Olsen Records. On the a-side I:Cube turns in an epic hands-in-the-air peak time version of Leisure Suit Preben, a stand out track from Todd’s recent hit LP ‘It’s Album Time’, whooshing synths fly over head before a bassline with more funky than Rinse FM on a Friday night leads the track. On the flip Prins Thomas takes ‘Preben Goes to Acapulco’ but goes down a side road on route taking in a slow mo beat before rainbows of sound emerge through the groove and some series keys get laid over the track, coming across like the dub of a dream collab between William Onyeabor and DJ Sotofett.
