DONATO DOZZY & SABLA – FORMA I

Posted on 2025-06-30

It starts like a seed under skin—bare, pulsing.

Sound gathers like an electron orbiting the nucleus.
Shapes thicken, not to dominate, but to exist.
A spine forms, then limbs, then breath.
Nothing ascends—everything spreads.

In Morpho, form doesn’t arrive all at once; it builds piece by piece, from materials drawn across distances. Each step is neither better nor worse than the last—each is singular, part of the whole. Growth is not guided—it listens, folding itself into space, grain by grain.

KNEECAP FEAT MOZEY – THE RECAP

Posted on 2025-06-23

When Mo Chara, Moglaí Bap and DJ Provaí – aka Belfast’s finest Kneecap – entered the studio with producer Toddla T in the Summer of 2023, they quickly decided to scrap everything they had already prepared for the album they were about to record. Instead, they decided to build a pub together. Built on a West Belfast side street, The Rutz is a community boozer, in that the entire community uses it. All human life is inside, either thriving, striving or skiving. There are people just trying to get served at the bar or up on the stage performing; others are slumped in darkened corners or emerging bleary eyed and coke smeared from the toilets..

An elusive and quiet figure amidst the Portuguese electronic scene, Timóteo Azevedo aka Random Gods releases his debut album on Discrepant’s sub label Souk after his killer appearance in the long sold out ‘Antologia de Música Atípica Portuguesa Vol. 2’ compilation back in 2019.

ORCUTT SHELLEY MILLER

Posted on 2025-06-09

Bill Orcutt, Steve Shelley, and Ethan Miller teamed up for a hair-raising tour in 2024, and their concert at LA’s Zebulon gets committed to vinyl, showing the trio at peak dexterity. Glamorously rugged guitars fit for soundtracking a drive under the Hollywood sign becoming frazzled, razed shreds on the opening ‘A Star Is Born’, descending deep into psychedelia while swishing drums and slick clean basslines give the performance swagger.

LUCRECIA DALT – DIVINA

Posted on 2025-06-02

Everything whirrs and sparks on Lucrecia Dalt’s latest album A Danger to Ourselves, as she explores a newfound honesty following grand narrative works of time travelling bolero and dreamlike identity shifts. Slick bass, aching saxophone, and emotive piano are splashed with a crackle of noise, as if bringing them sharply to the realm of reality where Dalt’s voice arrives with an immediacy on opening ‘cosa rara’, with gnashing drums and fingers scrabbling over guitar. Where Dalt works pop adjacent structures into her own distinct universe, she also rattles against them, sneering amidst a lurking bassline and shuffling scrapyard percussion on ‘no death no danger’.
