2022-09-12Ritual Poison label head BufoBufo comes through with his debut album after having landed on the scene in 2017. As well as being his first for Altered Sense, his first full length album takes us on an invigorating journey through different club strains, with breakbeats guiding every step of the way. Traces of funk slink around the bassline of ‘Pigeon’, evolving from smooth undertones to a front and centre synth amidst lush, lowkey breaks. Telephones beep and metallic shards clatter throughout ‘Missed Call’, with piano chords and a booming sub bass pointing in a dub direction over electro-leaning bouncing beats.
