Contributors were allowed to recreate scenes from Star Wars however they wanted and within just a few months SWU grew into a wild success. Now they’ve released a full feature-length film that contains hand-picked scenes from the entire StarWarsUncut.com collection.

Brightons iconic West Pier was restored to its former glory for one night only - 'A Pier Appears' took place on Wednesday Feb 10, 2010 and was the first of a series of events commissioned by Tiger Beer to celebrate Chinese New Year: The Year of the Tiger.

BALLETS RUSSES
Karl Lagerfeld, Creative Director of CHANEL, has designed an exclusive costume for the 'The Dying Swan' as part of English National Ballet's Ballets Russes season at Sadler's Wells in June 2009. This year marks the centenary of the first performance by Serge Diaghilev's ballet at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Karl Lagerfeld has always had a personal interest in ballet and admires the creativity of English National Ballet. He comments that "...as a child I was already impressed by old images of Anna Pavlova dancing the ballet" adding that "...the Ballet Russes were an influence for me". The costume has been created for English National Ballet’s Senior Principal dancer, Elena Glurdjidze, who will wear the design for her performance of 'The Dying Swan'. She says "we always say that the look is 50% of how you are going to dance, so it is very important to have a beautiful costume". During her final fitting, she danced 'The Dying Swan' for Karl, who filmed the performance himself.

PICTURE ME
The home-movie-style documentary, Picture Me, is a down-and-dirty insider's look at the world of modeling, which, surprise surprise, isn't all glossies and parties. There were plenty of fun appearances made by the likes of Lisa Cant, Missy Rayder, Irina Lazareanu, Tanya D, Cameron Russell, and even Kaiser Karl, but there were also lots of darker scenes, the weight/body issues, the loneliness, the human-turned-robot-syndrome that can only happen when you're being handled like a clothing hanger.

Audrey Tautou stars as Coco Chanel in a $15 million biopic about the legendary French fashion designer, helmed by Anne Fontaine. The film will focus on Chanel's childhood and early womanhood and was specially conceived with Tautou in mind, said Haut et Court's Caroline Benjo. "Anne said she would only make a film about Chanel if Audrey was in the lead. They met and both liked the idea." This season ACNE has worked again with young British Film Maker, Richard Brandon Cox on a film installation inspired by the underwear collection. The textile work of Louis Bourgeois is a keen reference point for this season designs with inspired tone on tone checks and spots permeating the collection. Urban Cowboys were also a key influence with Bandanna Prints and Tie Dye being key to the season.

The venue was an all white space and every fan who attended the gig was given a full white adidas Originals tracksuit. Following his acclaimed Spring/Summer 2009 ready-to-wear show for Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs knew exactly who he wanted to embody the spirit of the season: Madonna should be the face of Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer fashion campaign. The iconic pop star was photographed by her long-time creative collaborator Steven Meisel, the first time the influential fashion photographer has shot a campaign for Louis Vuitton. The chemistry between the two is evident as in a sepia-toned setting reminiscent of a Paris café in the Forties, with its zinc bar, bentwood chairs and air thick with smoke Madonna transforms into Marc Jacobs' vision of the quintessential Parisienne, striking provocative poses in the season's sexy short skirts, ethnic-inspired sandals and animal-print bangles. The first visuals show Madonna with the collection's emblematic slouchy bags in Monogram canvas and Monogram-embossed leather.

This Valentine's short film for Agent Provocateur essentially tells the story of a girlfriend getting revenge on her boyfriend after being stood up on valentine's night. We've watched it several times over and promise never to stand up Miss Huntingdon-Whiteley unless she promises the same sort of revenge the young man in the movie recieves.

THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE
Steven Soderbergh's forthcoming movie promises to be a revealing look at the world of prostitution from an elite call girl's point of view. The Girlfriend Experience will feature adult movie actress Sasha Grey in the lead role. Grey will play a high-class call girl in this low-budget feature, which looks like it might be one of the Oscar-winning film-maker's frequent journeys into experimental territory. The screenplay has been penned by Ocean's Thirteen writers Brian Koppelman and David Levien and judging from the trailer will be one of 2009's sleeper hits.

Because not since the Devil Wears Prada has a fashion related movie stirred as much buzz. Though leading lady Isla Fisher (wife of Sacha Baron Cohen) will be the star of the big screen, another might capture the hearts of the audience as well: Krysten Ritter.
Fisher plays Becky Bloomwood, a recent college grad with a penchant for overspending, while Ritter plays Bloomwood’s pal and roommate, Suze.
Another movie Ritter is set to play in, and raise some eyebrows, is the upcoming How to Make Love to a Woman; a comedy based on a best-selling novel by adult film star Jenna Jameson which we'll no doubt also love!

Karl Lagerfeld has debuted his directorial 10-Min short film of Gabrielle Chanel's early years.
It's a "glamorous, big-budget short film of the silent variety "
Cast include model Brad Koenig and Lagerfeld's bodyguard/private secretary Sébastien Jondeau. Model Edita Vilkeviciute plays the young Coco. Workers in the Chanel atelier got to play parts as workers in the fashion house as well.
"The second part of the film takes place in 1923, when Chanel was already established"
