2024-11-04The collaborative capsule is titled “Cactus Tears” and takes inspiration from James Baldwin’s Another Country, a 1962-released novel in which which protagonist Rufus Scott, is a symbol of Black American suffering. This has led to the collection coming with many more layers than what might meet the eye. For example, the capsule aims to encapsulate a slew of the novel’s themes into the line, as Pan-African bandanas are dressed in smiley faces.
