RICHARD MISRACH – REWIND

Posted on 2025-11-17

Organized in reverse chronology, the exhibition moves from Misrach’s recent series Cargo, a meditation on global trade and its environmental and human costs, to his early 1970s project Telegraph 3 A.M., which captured Berkeley’s street culture in the aftermath of the counterculture movement. Together, the works form a compelling portrait of an artist who has continually balanced social engagement with formal and aesthetic inquiry.

Across film, digital, and large-scale prints, Misrach’s photography embraces both technical experimentation and emotional resonance. His images of freighter ships illuminated by sunrise hues of pink and violet in San Francisco Bay reflect a fascination with beauty as a vehicle for deeper reflection. As Misrach has stated, beauty can compel viewers to confront issues they might otherwise turn away from. This balance between allure and unease runs throughout his practice, from his haunting documentation of the U.S.-Mexico border wall and Louisiana’s polluted Cancer Alley to his meditative seascapes and desert landscapes. Each image captures a world suspended between stillness and consequence.

ZENITH X LUPIN THE THIRD

Posted on 2025-11-17

Zenith’s collaboration with Monkey Punch’s iconic animated series, Lupin The Third began in 2019 with the launch of the Chronomaster A384 “Lupin The Third”, a watch nearly five decades in the making. Inspired by the fictional timepiece worn by Daisuke Jigen, Lupin’s trusted partner in the celebrated Japanese anime series, the release marked the start of a trilogy of limited editions that transformed an imagined design into reality.

The latest chapter, the Chronomaster Revival Daisuke Jigen Edition, takes the tribute further by aligning even closer to the manga portrayal. Crafted in a 37mm matte black microblasted titanium case, it features a beige dial with contrasting black chronograph counters, a tachymeter scale, and beige Super-LumiNova® accents for a warm, vintage-inspired aesthetic. At its core beats the El Primero 400 calibre, a direct descendant of the 1969 movement, offering tenth-of-a-second precision and a 50-hour power reserve.

Paired with a reinterpreted titanium ladder bracelet originally designed by Gay Frères in 1969, the watch balances heritage and modern ergonomics.

Limited to 200 pieces.

In Eleanor The Great, June Squibb brings to vivid life the witty and proudly troublesome 94-year old Eleanor Morgenstein, who after a devastating loss, tells a tale that takes on a dangerous life of its own. ARIES X SALOMON XT-WHISPER

Posted on 2025-11-17

Aries and Salomon have linked up again to unveil a new round of collaborative footwear. This time, the duo brings a bold and refreshing reimagining of the XT-Whisper sneaker, blending nostalgia with a subversive, technological twist. The resulting silhouette is fearlessly distinct, arriving in two equally fierce colorways: a high-contrast pairing of “Fiery Red/Fuchsia Pink” and a more subdued “Black/Earth Brown.”

The design is provocatively textured and rich in layered details, combining vintage-look leather and suede with technical materials, gradients and metallic foiling. Notable features include a unique wavy Sensifit™ application paired with Quicklace™ for a secure foothold and a confidence-inspiring fit.
