GORE-TEX X AIMÉ LEON DORE

Posted on 2024-12-23

Building on their previous partnership from 2024, GORE-TEX and Aimé Leon Dore are back for a nautical take on 90s New York City classics. Launched in conjunction with the Spring/Summer 2025 lookbook early last month, each piece captures both the lightweight ease of sea-bound athletic wear and the vintage palette of generations past.

Designed with function and fashion, the collaboration emphasizes waterproof materials, mobile silhouettes, and classic nautical motifs. Standout pieces include the Off-Shore Shell Jacket and Pants, which boast “GORE-TEX GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY” product technology.

The exhibition will feature a selection of photographs Learoyd produced with his custom-built camera obscura between 2018 and 2025. Deeply inspired by Dutch Golden Age painting, Learoyd’s latest works take viewers on a journey through intimate moments and intricate details, examining the relationship between subject, light, and space. The photographs on display explore a range of subjects, from hauntingly evocative portraits to still-life compositions that breathe life into the simplest of objects.

EVA LÖFDAHL – AN AUDILE DOUBLE

Posted on 2024-12-23

Spanning over 40 years, Eva Löfdahl’s practice has generated an oeuvre of sculpture, paintings and performance that resists simple linguistic categorisation. Her works can seem initially inscrutable but are often materialisations of actual phenomena – models of complex postulates and illustrations of otherwise invisible dynamics.
Löfdahl invokes the sacred with the profane, employing materials that are often modest and close to hand – modified everyday objects like wire rods, magnets, or string, supported in plaster or polystyrene. The act of making the work is simultaneously a way to get to grips with its subject and is an attempt to make the abstract and diffuse concrete and graspable.

THE SANDY LIANG X BEATS SOLO 4 HEADPHONES

Posted on 2024-12-23

Liang stamps a hand-drawn pink ribbon design across the top of the metallic silver silhouette’s headband, while Beats’ signature “b” logos land on either side in pastel pink. The headphones come housed in a box complete with a pink 3D-sculpted ribbon. On the technical side, the over-the-ear headphones offer up to 50 hours of battery life as well as Beats Solo’s top-tier audio quality, boasting a price tag of $199.99 USD.

“I’ve always been drawn to the way nostalgia and modernity can coexist, and working with Beats felt like the perfect way to bring that to life,” Sandy Liang explained in a statement. “They’re such a cultural icon, I wanted this collaboration to feel personal—something that blends function with a sense of playfulness and personality. I wanted it to feel like more than just headphones, but an accessory that brings joy.”

JEFRE CANTU-LEDESMA – GIFT SONG II

Posted on 2024-12-23

Giving thanks to the gift of music, one of our favourite contemporary multi-instrumentalist composers Jefre Cantu-Ledesma continues to build upon the vein of sprawling and shimmering ambient works that he struck with previous Mexican Summer album 2019’s Tracing Back The Radiance. Where that album fades slowly in, gingerly eking out its melodic offerings, his latest record Gift Songs is immediately generous with its texture and beauty. The timbres are sharper, more pronounced, yet still wading sweetly through the ceaseless deluge of sound, flowing from the fingers of a grand cast of musicians
