Minnesota is the heartland of US hockey, creating more skaters—on the local rinks and in the NHL—than any other state. Here, the senior boys of rival towns—one an emerging dynasty, the other with a fabled past—face down uncertain futures as they skate for a last chance to etch their names into local lore. Where Texas football has Friday Night Lights, Minnesota high school hockey has Hockeyland.

TweetCalifornia reared, fine artist, Bryan Locke is a dedicated foot soldier in dogged pursuit of the celebration of his subjects at their zenith and most raw. His visceral approach, while supported by a keen understanding of light & depth , has resulted in a body of work that summons both Robert Frank and Diane Arbus. “Hot Walker” shot over a four year period at Golden Gate fields is a labor of love that brings to light his unmistakable intuition at displaying humanity at its finest.

Martina Klein makes monochrome canvases, which are most of the time not just hanging on the wall, but they stand against the wall or stand free in space, like an object. According to Klein the composition is not made in the painting itself but occurs in the space, within the relation of other paintings. The various monochromes make a choreography of colour planes that defines the space and gives it character. She builds up her painting with several layers of self-made recipes of paint. Adding more pigments to the oil, gives the painting a radiant effect. Her specific use of colours and the way of painting gives her work an extra quality. Recently she cuts the canvases loose of the stretchers, so that they hang partly free form their support.

The casino-themed collection is designed by Matthew Draeger and features creative direction from Gibbs’ longtime manager, Ben “Lambo” Lambert. It arrives alongside the rapper’s music video for the Moneybagg Yo-assisted single “Too Much,” which takes place in the fictional $$$ Resort & Casino. T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts and hoodies in both black and white sport the SOUL SOLD SEPARATELY emblem alongside the $$$ Resort & Casino logo and phone number, sprinkled with designs of playing cards and dices to pay homage to casino games.
